Slow start.

Well, my blogging got off to a slow start I must say. It’s been a hectic month, with free comic book day and Black Powder consuming practically every free hour. I’ve gotten to the point where I can almost do a page of art a day now, which for fully-painted artwork is a bit of an accomplishment. Still, it does make for a long day, and leaves little time for other things, like blogging for instance. Still, the time has been well spent. The book is looking great. I’m almost halfway through issue three now, and this issue is turning out to be the best one yet. My publisher and I are shooting for the first issue to be ready for San Diego Comicon, so tune in here and I’ll keep you posted.
I’ve also finally given in and gotten a twitter account, and created a facebook page for my illustrations. I’ll be publishing daily updates to both of those so follow me if you like, or throw me a like on my facebook page. The buttons are both there on the home page. And keep checking back here, I promise to blog more frequently!

So after a lot of suggestions and much deliberation I’ve decided to start a blog on my website. A lot of people have asked me about my work process, so I intend to chronicle it here, along with some tutorials and step-by-steps of just how I do that crazy voodoo I do. As I begin this I’m two issues into my comic “Black Powder”. That is what fills the majority of my time right now, along with the occasional freelance project, like the book cover I just finished for Audicraft books (Audiocraft is a publisher of some amazing books for young readers. Check’em out: americanchillers.com) that I’m awaiting approval on. Free comic book day is this Saturday, and I’m waiting to hear if I’m going to be doing a signing at Muse comics of the preview of Black Powder or not. I also just updated the Black Powder website, which I’m waiting to hear back from my publisher at Asylum Press on. Waiting, waiting, waiting. Seems like a good time to start a blog, doesn’t it?
