APPERSON, John (VA Line & Mil) Franklin Co.-(MOLLUS)
John Apperson was born on 04Dec1763 in Spotsylvania Co., VA. He married Alcey Favour, 24Jan1785 or 1786 in Culpeper Co., VA. Alcey born a1769 in ?, daughter of William and Ann Favour. Lived in Boles Twp. by 1833. John died 30Sep1834 in Franklin Co., MO, burial place unknown. John had a brother Ruben Apperson, b.07Mar1779. Alcey living in Clay Co., IL in 1852.
War Service: Enlisted in Spotsylvania Co., VA, served in VA Line/Militia and in NC.

FARRAR, Leonard (VA Mil & NC Mil) Franklin Co.-(MOLLUS)
Leonard Farrar was born April 04, 1764 in Gouchland Co., VA. Lived in Pittsylvania Co., VA during the war. He married Margaret Hamilton in 1795 in Barren Co., KY. They moved from KY to St. Louis, MO about 1799 and soon after to Franklin Co., initially to Boles Twp and then to St. Johns Twp by 1819, where he lived until he died on April 30, 1836. Buried in Giersa Cemetery with modern stone placed by the DAR.
War Service: Served a a private in VA and the NC Militia.

Isaac Hinkle was (Born 05Dec1754 in NC. Married Mary Cunningham) Lived in Boles Twp. (Died in 1824 in VA)

Born Jun1861 in Bedford Co, VA, after the Rev. War he lived in KY, LA, and MO, in MO by 1833.

MAUPIN, Mosias (?) Franklin Co.-(MOLLUS)
Born 1756 in VA/(France, when Gen. Lafayette came to America he was one of his soldiers?, captured by the British alone with his brother Thomas, escaped, lived the wilderness and rejoined his forces for the surrender of Cornwallis). Post war lived in Greenbriar Co., VA, Madison Co., KY, m.Leah Downie, b.1762 in KY, traveled with Boone in KY, then to MO, living in St. Louis for two years and then to what would later become Franklin Co., MO settling on a tract of land on the Missouri River, six miles above Washington, MO. Mosias died 29Oct1816, Leah d. 15May18-4. There graves are marked, buried in the Maupin Cemetery (on the Ralston-Purina Wildlife Farm), Franklin Co, MO.
War Service: (DAR: PS VA), (when Gen. Lafayette came to America he was one of his soldiers?, captured by the British alone with his brother Thomas, escaped, lived the wilderness and rejoined his forces for the surrender of Cornwallis) was at the surrender of Cornwallis.

Born 1756, m.Judith Wisner May1877 in Hagerstown, MD. Judith born 1761 in Frederickstown, MD. Lived in MD for first enistment, moved to Philadelphia, PA and enlisted a second time. Lived in Crawford Co, IL in 1823, by 1825 had moved to Washington, MO, applied for homestead there in 1830 where George died 15Jun1830.
War Service: Served in MD and in the PA Continentals.

Born 1758 MD, lived in PA and on the Ohio River 40 miles below Pittsburg, PA prior to the war, (m.Mary Pursel), lived in Washington, MO applied for homestead there July 15, 1818, listed in the 1819 tax list for St. Johns Twp., died 11May1840.
War Service: Served in PA and in the VA Militia.

WHITTLESEY, Charles (CT St Troops) Franklin Co.-(MOLLUS)
Born 1769 in New London, CT, post war lived in CT, NY and MO, living in Franklin Co., MO by 1833.
War Service: Enlisted when he was 11 or 12 years old, served in the CT State Troops, wounded the same time his father, John Whittlesey was killed in 1781.
